Half a million Steam users have already wishlisted the upcoming hardcore online shooter
Gaijin Entertainment and Matter Team announce that Active Matter, the upcoming hardcore online shooter set in a fractured multiverse, has reached a major milestone: more than 500,000 Steam users have added the game to their wishlists. The team would like to thank everyone following the project, taking part in tests, playing the early version on Gaijin Store, sharing feedback and waiting for the Steam version planned for 2026.
Active Matter invites players to become operatives fighting for control of a mysterious and unstable substance that can bend reality itself, resulting in gravity, space and time distortions. Players will embark on dangerous raids, fight rival squads and deadly monsters, survive strange active matter anomalies, complete contracts, secure valuable loot and extract before the multiverse claims them.
Active Matter is planned to become available on Steam in 2026, but players can already jump in and purchase the early version via Gaijin Store. The latest trailer also offers a great look at the gameplay.
