Roguelike deckbuilder Serial World releases first public demo for Steam Deckbuilders Fest 2026

Former Level-5 developers Serial Project and publisher Kakehashi Games have officially released the first publicly-playable demo for Serial World in participation with Steam Deckbuilders Fest

Japan – May 4th, 2026 – Announced globally during the Gamescom Future Games Show 2025, the two-person developer duo behind upcoming roguelike deckbuilder Serial World have launched their first public demo for players to enjoy online in celebration of the Steam Deckbuilders Fest!

Set in a colorful, cartoonish world reminiscent of nostalgic RPG favorites, Serial World follows the young Milo as he investigates a series of mysterious disappearances happening across his home of Bricktown. In this energetic preview, players will explore a randomized dungeon alongside a beginner trio of Anima: Porcupint, Tanibo, and Reptibud, unusual creatures each boasting their own unique personalities and skillsets.

Mix-and-match tactics in satisfying turn-based combat as you build your battle deck, face foes, and search for the exit – and the answers you seek – in this roguelike deckbuilding adventure for all ages!

Serial World is launching on PC later this year. Visit the Steam store page to learn more and play the demo, available now until May 11th.
