Beehive Studios’ delightful monster collector RPG takes players on a magical adventure of creature collecting and battling.
Tuesday, 26th May 2026, Milan, Italy – Colourful, monster-collecting RPG adventure, LumenTale: Memories of Trey launches on Steam and Nintendo Switch* today, Team17 and developer Beehive Studios have announced. A magical story of exploration, creature collecting (and battling), customising, and crafting, the game follows Trey, a young hero who awakens in the enchanting world of Talea with no memories, and sets out on a journey to uncover the truth.
LumenTale: Memories of Trey’s story of adventure and discovery sees players encounter and capture Animon, magical creatures imbued with Anivis, an powerful energy that gives them the ability to affect the emotions and soul of every living being in Talea. As players recruit more of the 140 Animon types to Trey’s party through capture or turn-based PvE and PvP battles, they’ll leverage their abilities and skills to secure victory from 1v1 duels up to epic 4v4 showdowns.
Each Animon species belongs to one of five attribute groups that relate to a different emotion and can be utilised in battle with different strategies to secure victory. For example, while the pure serenity of the ‘Sereum’ Animon can give a boost to the chance of a critical hit, those with the ‘Horrens’ attribute strike fear into the hearts of opponents, empowering Trey with the potential to defeat them in one swift attack.
Providing a change of pace to Trey’s adventuring is The Anispace, an ‘other realm’ where players can train their collected Animon and create their ideal home by crafting and purchasing a range of furniture from vendors. Spending more time with their new creature friends in The Anispace strengthens the bonds between Trey and the Animon, enabling them to battle foes with increased effectiveness.

- Travel an expansive world: Journey across the rich and cultural world of Talea, filled with secrets, quests and regions as unique and diverse as the Animon you encounter.
- Collect and train Animon: Discover and capture 140 Animon, each with elemental affinities and assigned one of five different emotional attributes that can offer advantages in battle.
- Unique art cards: Increase the chances of finding your perfect Animon, or the rare Lost variants, to build the ultimate team. Trade these locally or online through the Animon Trade Station
- Cooking and crafting: Rest at fountains throughout the world to cook food from found and bought recipes, and craft resources to support your journey.
- The Anispace: Train your Animon in the Anispace, a dedicated area offering a change of pace from adventure. Craft or purchase furniture from local vendors and customise it to make the perfect home for your creatures.
LumenTale: Memories of Trey is available as a Standard Edition, a Deluxe Edition (featuring the base game and deluxe DLC) on both Steam and Nintendo Switch, and the Steam-only Lumen Edition (featuring the base game, deluxe DLC, and both the digital soundtrack and artbook). Players who buy LumenTale: Memories of Trey over the next month will also receive the ‘Early Adopter Offering’ DLC, featuring an in-game furniture set, Anispace cosmetics, and digital tradeable art cards.
