Hertfordshire, 10th October 2025 – Today, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the iconic ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS series, KOEI TECMO Europe and famed developer Kou Shibusawa announced ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle. A celebratory website was also unveiled, sharing details about new elements added to the Destiny and Strategy Expansion Packsuch as scenarios, traits, events, and more. The bundle is scheduled to release 29th January 2026 on Windows PC via Steam®.

Released in 2023,ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE was the first major remake in the ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS series and offered all-new graphical and game system upgrades to help reawaken the title as the newest addition to KOEI TECMO’s long revered franchise.ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle brings all the content from the original remake with new additional elements that will broaden players’ experience, such as Chinese voices. Among these novelties, all officers of varying status can obtain certain commands, and the ‘Gems’ they obtain will change with each playthrough.
The Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle will allow players to have a more intense experience than ever before thanks to ‘Turning Points’ which will play a crucial role in players’ strategies. Fans will also experience new traits and events, as well as new Parliament and City commands, and five new fictional scenarios to enhance theirROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMSexperience.
Everyone who purchases a digital edition ofROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle up to the first two weeks after release will receive the “Loyal Han Retainer Ma Teng” scenario as an early purchase bonus.
