July 16, 2025 – Singapore – As Zenless Zone Zero celebrates its one-year anniversary, HoYoverse is excited to announce that Version 2.1, titled “The Impending Crash of Waves”, will go live on July 16 (UTC+8). This latest update brings a wave of vibrant, summer-themed content, two new explorable areas, and fresh characters for players to discover in New Eridu.
Version 2.1 introduces the Spook Shack, a new faction debuting in the story, alongside Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort, two beautifully crafted locales that set the stage for a series of aquatic quests and adventures. The update also marks the arrival of two new playable agents: Ukinami Yuzuha and Alice Thymefield, who add new dynamics to combat and narrative progression.
In addition to the update, HoYoverse has confirmed its full participation at Gamescom 2025, with all three of its flagship titles — Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero — featured at Booth C031 in Hall 6.
