SHANGHAI – July 18, 2025 – HoYoverse today announced that Genshin Impact Version 5.8, titled “Sunspray Summer Resort,” will launch on July 30, introducing a brand-new permanent summer-themed region and the long-awaited debut of Ineffa, the game’s first playable character from the mysterious nation of Nod-Krai.
A key highlight of Version 5.8 is the addition of the Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a new permanent map set on an island off the western coast of Natlan. The vibrant location includes four unique exploration zones where players can traverse the landscape using the powers of the whimsical mascot Asha, uncovering hidden surprises and summer-themed adventures.
Version 5.8 also marks the introduction of Ineffa, a 5-star Electro polearm wielder, who brings with her a brand-new “Lunar-Charged” elemental reaction. Her story will be explored in a new Archon Quest chapter titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Prelude – The Journey Home.”
