At Steam Next Fest 2025, developer Kabam announced itspopular fighter Marvel Contest of Champions is officially launching on Steam on Wednesday, June 18! Check out the debut live action trailer “Symphony of Smackdowns” below, and get ready for launch–wishlist MCoC to unlock milestone rewards:
- 50K Wishlists – 4x 3-Star Nexus Crystals, 60K Gold, and 60K Basic ISO-8
- 100K Wishlists – 4x 3-Star Spider-Verse Crystals, 60K Gold, and 60K Basic ISO-8
- 150K Wishlists – 4x 3-Star Avengers Crystals, 60K Gold, and 60K Basic ISO-8
- 200K Wishlists – 4x 3-Star X-Men Crystals, 60K Gold, and 60K Basic ISO-8
The Steam version will offer the classic arcade experience of modern combat games, stunning graphics in full HD & 60FPS, and overhauled UI to optimize the game for the PC platform. Now with cross-play functionality, players can start the game on one platform and then pick up their progress on the other. As with mobile, new events and stories will be released each month, and the game will continue to grow its expansive roster of 300+ Champions to collect and rank up.

- Fantastic FORCE Saga: It’s another beautiful day in The Contest as Marvel Contest of Champions is gearing its Summoners for a super-powered release of Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” with all-new in-game content leading up to the premiere! Check out the all-new Fantastic Four Saga trailer where The Fantastic Four face off against a multiverse of foes. Stay tuned for more fantastic updates next month, but here’s what players can dive into now:
- Harness the Power of Mister Fantastic! Look for “Research Grant” collectibles spread across various game modes during the Fantastic FORCE Saga and trade in for a 7-Star Mister Fantastic.
- “Vaults of Variant” – Side Quest: Reed Richards’ new studies on multiverse magic may lead to uncontrolled and violent duplication. Through July 9, players can assist Reed Richards in the “Vaults of Variant” side quest as he conducts dangerous research in The Multiverse.
- Celebrate New Champions And Pride With The Runaways: Members of the super-team The Runaways, NICO MINORU and KAROLINA DEAN, enter The Battlerealm! Players now have the opportunity to obtain Nico, and Karolina beginning June 26. A special RUNWAY READY SOLO EVENT is also active now through June 30th where players earn points towards their reward milestones and can collect Pride profile pictures along the way.
- The Next Eidol Chase Begins: Kabam introduced a series of brand-new original characters called Eidols throughout the year to MCoC, each central to the game’s new “Founders” storyline that dives into the powerful characters behind the history of The Battlerealm. Known as the Wolf of the Stars, players will now be able to ‘chase’ and collect SOLVARCH during the Fantastic FORCE Saga! The chase for Solvarch kicked off June 4 and concludes October 8.
- Captain Britain (Rework): Captain Britain is a powerful force for good in The Battlerealm! Kabam has rebalanced and reworked Captain Britain with fresh cosmetics and mechanics. The character update released June 2 and is available now to obtain as a 7-Star Champion in the “Double Track Event”.
- Ironheart Offers & 7-Day Login Calendar: The Contest is celebrating the upcoming release of Marvel Studios’ “Ironheart” with a 7-Day “HALL OF IRONS” Login Calendar lined up with daily rewards running now through August 1 at 4 p.m. PT, and in-game offers on series premiere day, June 24.
- Heat Wave Sale: A HEAT WAVE SALE IS COMING TO THE BATTLEREALM ON JUNE 27! With all the Fantastic adventures happening in The Contest this season, the Human Torch is heating things up. The best way to chill out is obviously with some cool fan-favorite sales featuring useful resources and Champions–Champions such as a 7-Star Human Torch!
