New York, NY – 2K and Hangar 13 unveiled the cinematic trailer “The Initiation” for the highly anticipated Mafia: The Old Country during today’s Future Games Show. The evocative new footage introduces protagonist Enzo Favara and his solemn pledge of loyalty to the Torrisi crime family, marking a defining moment in his rise through the criminal underworld.
Set in the early 1900s in Sicily, Mafia: The Old Country represents a bold reimagining of the acclaimed Mafia franchise, taking players to the birthplace of organized crime. With a focus on rich storytelling, authentic cultural influence, and a completely new era, the title is designed to immerse players in the gritty and complex origins of the Mafia.
During the showcase, Hangar 13 Studio President Nick Baynes and Game Director Alex Cox discussed the team’s vision to explore a new setting and storyline, crafting a cinematic experience that pays tribute to the series’ roots while expanding its legacy with fresh narrative depth and emotional intensity.
