Singapore – June 20, 2025 – HoYoverse today announced that Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.4 update, titled For the Sun is Set to Die, will launch globally on July 2, 2025. The news was revealed during the recent Special Program Livestream, which previewed major content additions and collaborations.
Version 3.4 brings players to a critical turning point in the Flame-Chase storyline, as Phainon and the Trailblazer prepare to shape the dawn of the Era Nova. Phainon will also become a new playable 5-star character, joining the expanding cast of powerful allies.
In a first for the title, HoYoverse revealed a landmark crossover with the Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] franchise. Beloved Heroic Spirits Saber and Archer will join the world of Honkai: Star Rail as fully playable characters, combining their legendary combat styles with the game’s dynamic tactical system.
Additional highlights in Version 3.4 include:
- Combat enhancements for Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu
- New outfit debut: “Spring Missive” for Firefly
- Major quality-of-life improvements and expanded narrative content
As part of the collaboration, players will be able to claim Archer for free by logging in during the event period, starting July 11 through the end of Version 3.6. Both character and Light Cone banners for the collaboration will remain available long-term after the event begins.
