Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 on 26 June 2025. Hideo Kojima’s action sequel picks up eleven months after the first part and takes Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) from Mexico to Australia to reunite a fractured society. The gameplay has been significantly expanded: In addition to the familiar delivery gameplay, there are now deeper combat mechanics, including stealth options and direct confrontations reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid V. New vehicles, such as customisable hovercrafts, make it easier to get around in a world characterised by natural disasters. A skill tree allows individual specialisations in combat, stealth and delivery skills. The story is told more quickly, offers early access to new equipment and is said to be around 75 hours long. In addition to familiar characters such as Fragile (Léa Seydoux) and Higgs (Troy Baker), new characters appear, including Tomorrow (Elle Fanning) and Tarman (George Miller). The game already went gold, so there will be no delays, and we are definitely looking forward to playing Kojima’s latest title.
