SHANGHAI – HoYoverse today confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1, titled “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne,” will be released on February 26, 2025. Announced during the Special Program Livestream on February 14, this update introduces a brand-new map, new story content, and two new playable characters, further expanding the interstellar journey of the Trailblazer.
A New Chapter Begins: The Flame-Chase Journey
In Version 3.1, the Trailblazer assumes the role of a messenger, embarking alongside their companions on an expedition to the newly revealed “Grove of Epiphany”. As part of the Flame-Chase Journey, players will navigate uncharted territories, uncover hidden secrets, and engage in a series of new events that shape the unfolding narrative.
New Playable Characters
Version 3.1 introduces two new 5-star characters, bringing fresh combat dynamics to the game:
- Tribbie (5-star): A mysterious figure whose abilities shape the battlefield in unexpected ways.
- Mydei (5-star): A powerful force in combat, seamlessly blending strategic offense with unique support mechanics.
Additionally, two returning 5-star characters will be available in event warps:
- Yunli (First Half of 3.1)
- Huohuo (Second Half of 3.1)
