An official Dungeon Race challenged fireteams on Contest Mode for special rewards
At the weekend, Destiny 2 launched its newest dungeon, Sundered Doctrine, in which Savathûn guides Guardians through a Dread-filled Pyramid ship. An official Dungeon Race took place alongside the launch, challenging fireteams to complete the activity with Contest Mode enabled. The first verified team to finish the dungeon, ‘Biggz’, ‘Mariomonkey’ and ‘luigistyle’, received a customised trophy, and all those who completed Contest Mode within the first 48 hours earned a special emblem and guaranteed Exotic weapon. Normal Mode is now unlocked.
For those who wanted to watch the action, official race coverage was streamed alongside the event in partnership with The Zone Team’s cbgray and evanf1997 in their DungeonZone stream. The hosts followed players from around the globe competing to emerge victorious in the dungeon, with drops available on Twitch. Viewers could tune in here:

Destiny 2: Heresy launched this week, bringing Guardians back to Oryx’s flagship, the Dreadnaught. Alongside new weapons, gear, subclass Aspects, and artifact mods, The Nether debuts as a three-player activity where players harness the power of the Taken to disrupt Anchors and halt the Taken invasion. Inspired by Shattered Realm and The Coil, this mode features randomized encounters, unique challenges, and opportunities to enhance builds with powerful boons.
