The Time I Have Left debuts new trailer, playable demo and Kickstarter campaign

Inspired by classic nineties’ JRPGs and survival horror titles, The Time I Have Left has featured on the Future Games Show, IGN Live and The MIX, and now asks for support to bring it to launch

Barcelona, Spain – 21 November 2024. Today at The MIX Fall Showcase, indie developers Ground Game Atelier revealed the third gameplay trailer for their upcoming adventure RPG, The Time I Have Left, announcing a new demo and Kickstarter.

Since being showcased on the Future Games Show and IGN Live, the game has had nearly 20,000 wishlists, however, the team needs help completing their debut title. A Kickstarter campaign is now live for those who want to crowdfund the game, and a demo is available on Steam, offering players a preview of the game’s first hours.

Near-Death Experience Demo:
A two-hour demo featuring gameplay from Chapter One is available on Steam, where players will play as Aline in a pulse-pounding escape from Colony 7. Encounter various enemies, challenge the first boss, and explore The Time I Have Left’s unique combat and skill systems.

Kickstarter:
To help support the team in the completion of The Time I Have Left, a Kickstarter campaign is now live. Rewards for backers include an exclusive t-shirt, digital copies of the stunning art and soundtrack, and the opportunity for backers to make their own mark on the game by designing content in the final game. Stretch goals include the chance to add more enemy types and a new area, and if unlocked, porting the game to consoles.

The Time I Have Left has been in development for three years, but 2024 has been a tough year for game developers and independent studios,” says Juan Estévez (Yite), creative lead at Ground Game Atelier. “The Time I Have Left is already half complete, but without community support we may not be able to finish our passion project. We hope you’ll check out the trailer, download the demo and enjoy it enough to help us Kickstart the game and bring The Time I Have Left to players around the world.”

About The Time I Have Left:
As the seemingly lone inhabitant of the underground city of Colony 7, you take on the role of Aline who has been marked for death by a mysterious phenomenon known as ‘The Miasma’. The Time I Have Left is a time-driven escape adventure where the race is on to discover dark secrets, unlock new skills, and face your foes.

The Time I Have Left features:

  • Reactive Turn-Based Mechanics: Aline faces grotesque creatures in her Near-Death Experiences. You must time your movements well to evade directional attacks and master your foes’ patterns to escape unharmed.
  • Nostalgic flair, modern spin: A fresh take on the classic JRPG formula. Find clues, solve puzzles, unlock hidden areas, and secure your escape from Colony 7, all rendered in striking style.
  • Time-driven story and gameplay: Time flows in mysterious ways. After each level the timer will adjust to keep up with the story, so leave the area in the nick of time to get the most of each level.
  • Knowledge is power: New abilities are unlocked as you uncover clues and complete the in-game database. The more you explore, the more tools you’ll have to face the creatures you encounter.
  • Deep, dark secrets: Use the information you gather to unlock shortcuts, hidden stories, unique items, and secrets. You may not discover them all in a single playthrough.

The Time I Have Left’s demo is available on Steam now. You can support the developers on Kickstarter and visit www.groundga.com to learn more about this thrilling psychological adventure.
