Hit Roguelite Deckbuilder Goes Mobile
Tallinn, Estonia – Friday 27th September 2024 – Pack up your best cards and get ready for battle: after an acclaimed run on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch Gordian Quest is getting ready to head out on the road.
Indeed, publisher Aether Sky can confirm that Gordian Quest will launch for free on iOS and Android this winter. That means, for the first time, mobile gamers will be able to get their hands on the title’s epic deckbuilding RPG action, with gameplay inspired by old-school classics like Ultima and D&D.
Gordian Quest combines modern gaming concepts with roguelite elements and turn-based strategic combat. The game tells the tale of a land corrupted by a sinister curse, with players tasked with building a team of epic heroes developing their skills as they traverse a world dominated by darkness and marred by monsters.
The game has enjoyed an acclaimed and successful run on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, with Aether Sky keen to ensure mobile gamers take to Gordian Quest in the same fervent way their non-portable peers have to date. One purchase at a generous price will unlock the full game, while players can also engage most of the game’s Slay the Spire-like Realm Mode for free endlessly.
“We’re honoured to be a part of bringing Gordian Quest to mobile platforms,” offers Justin Ost, Founder of Aether Sky. “It is a fantastic game and we hope mobile players enjoy the challenge of beating each Mode with the wide variety of classes and builds.”
Gordian Quest includes:
- Campaign Mode – Venture through 4 Acts, taking you from the troubled lands of Westmire to the enigmatic Sky Imperium, in an epic journey to save the land of Wrendia.
- Realm Mode – A frenetic and fast-paced roguelite mode. Challenge an ever-changing version of the game with unpredictable threats and rewards. Complete 5 realms, or take on an endless challenge to see how far you can go.
- Adventure Mode – An end-game mode where you can explore procedurally generated areas or take on solo challenges.
- Ten heroes – Each with their unique classes, skills, talents and playstyles to form a party of three and bring to adventure. Play as the Swordhand, Cleric, Ranger, Scoundrel, Spellbinder, Druid, Bard, Warlock, Golemancer, or the Monk.
- Hundreds of skills – The heroes have a combined total of close to 800 passive and active skills that can be deployed during turn-based battles, allowing players to discover and formulate their favorite combos.
- Loot galore – Gather items, equipment and relics throughout your journey to boost your heroes’ abilities.
- High replayability – Procedurally generated maps, dungeons and randomized hero skills make each playthrough different from the last.
- Various difficulty levels – Take on hardcore mode for a teeth-gritting permadeath experience, or play more casually where death is only a setback.
- Carryover rewards and progression system – Get rewarded the more you play through an Artifacts system that can benefit Realm Mode, Campaigns, or Adventure Mode.
- Decisions to make – Shape the course of your adventure with critical decisions and dice rolls.
Gordian Quest will launch for Android and iOS this Winter.
