Japan-exclusive physical edition for Nintendo Switch now available for preorder
TOKYO – September 18, 2024 — Touhou Genso Wanderer -FORESIGHT-, the turn-based dungeon crawler RPG Touhou Project fan game from publisher Phoenixx and developer AQUASTYLE, launches today on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch™. Japan-exclusive physical editions (with optional limited edition) and merchandise are available for pre-order today ahead of a Thursday, November 28th release.
Touhou superfans and roguelite aficionados alike can enjoy an enhanced Touhou Genso Wanderer -FORESIGHT- experience on consoles. Delve into enriched, expanded dungeons, thanks to a new character, a new sub-dungeon, increased level caps, additional boss spell card locations, and updated animations. Venture down a new narrative path with a deepened Hakurei Shrine Restoration Plan, and find out what happens upon refilling the pond…
The Hakurei Shrine has been pillaged by an unknown enemy, and the fate of Gensokyo – a realm inhabited by both humans and yokai – lies in the hands of Shrine Maiden Reimu once again! With Marisa Kirisame’s help, guide Reimu through dozens of dungeons to save Gensokyo from the torment of a mysterious foe. Rebuild the sacred shrine to its former glory while unveiling clues explaining its destruction.
Pair up with fellow 60+ Touhou heroines and reconstruct the Shrine. Utilize each character’s distinct spell and abilities, and upgrade powers with their personal skill trees to tilt the odds in the duo’s favor. Stock up on consumables to prolong each dungeon dive, and illuminate surroundings before progressing to strategize every step forward.
Equip right-hand weapons and left-hand armor items, earn and cast Boss Spell cards, and collect donations to fund the rebuilding of the sacred shrine. Battle brutal fairies, vampires, and shapeshifters guarding valuable treasure. When suffering defeat, return to the Shrine with gear and XP in tow, maintaining progress throughout each attempt.
