Month-long celebration highlighting content creators, professional interviews, and the future of Latinx in gaming
LOS ANGELES — Aug. 29th, 2024 — Latinx in Gaming invites gamers around the world to come together during Hispanic Heritage Month, Sunday, September 15th to Sunday, October 13th as it hosts the annual online event, UNIDOS. UNIDOS 2024 will elevate content creators around the world, and Latinx in Gaming’s Vice President Elaine Gomez will cap off the month with a peek at what to expect next from the organization.
Starting on Sunday, September 15th, Latinx in Gaming will shine a light on talented creators across the globe, hosting streamers randomly throughout the month. To help them reach a larger audience, Latinx in Gaming will highlight and share these streams across Twitch and Twitter / X. Creators eager to participate can apply here.
Watch live streamed interviews hosted by the organization aimed at learning more about the creative minds working behind the scenes. The Latinx in Gaming team will provide their perspectives as Hispanic creatives in today’s gaming landscape. Vice President, Elaine Gomez, will close out the day with a glimpse of the future on what’s in store for Latinx in Gaming.
On Friday, September 20th, join UNIDOS and Latinx in Gaming at TwitchCon for a special UNIDOS Somos Twitch Party, followed by networking opportunities with like-minded gaming professionals at the Riot Games x UNIDOS Mixer sponsored by Riot Unidos on Thursday, September 26th.
Closing out the month on October 13th, the organization will host various streams from the entire Latinx in Gaming community. Giving creators the opportunity to share their content, whether showing off their gaming skills or crafting exquisite cuisines in a cooking stream.
Ahead of UNIDOS 2024, check out the Latinx in Gaming on-site mentorship event at PAX West in Seattle, located at the Summit Building room 432, from Friday, Aug. 30th to Monday, Sept. 2, for an opportunity to meet the team. Join them for guidance on entering the gaming landscape, and learn how gaming professionals can ascend to the next stage of their careers.
