Sydney, Australia, September 14, 2023: Attention! Attention! We interrupt your current activity to bring you this news blast! THQ Nordic’s bubbly underwater adventure “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake” is getting a Gen9 version on October 16, 2023!

But what’s exactly new, I hear you ask? We did the research: Those who own the game already will get a free Gen9 upgrade! Besides, it seems there are additional updates incoming via patch:
PlayStation 5 + PlayStation 4:
- New Feature – Photo Mode! Apply one of 19 different filters to enhance your pictures.
- New Costumes
- New costume “King Doubloon” for collecting all doubloons is now available.
- New costume “Plush Gary” for unlocking all awards is now available.
- Improvements (PS5 only)
- Support of DualSense controller audio output when picking up items.
- Support of DualSense adaptive triggers when using reef blower and swinging hook actions.
Xbox Series X|S + Xbox One:

Now, back to what happened! SpongeBob’s and Patrick’s shenanigans have thrown Bikini Bottom into disarray: Innocent citizens and beloved landmarks have disappeared into strange, magical portals!
