Following their successful release of Sucker for Love: First Date last year developer AkaBaka and publisher DreadXP are continuing their series of Lovecraftian dating simulators with a new sequel looking to put a different spin on things in the form of Sucker for Love: Date to Die For.
This time around the game features a “Shadow over Innsmouth” inspiration and follows the asexual protagonist Stardust as she investigates her hometown only to be captured by cultists. Stardust will find herself looking to escape the labyrinth with the help of a strange purple spellbook. The only problem is, once opened, she releases Rhok’zan, The Black Goat of the Woods and finds herself being pursued in more ways than one.
Sucker for Love: Date to Die For‘s demo can be found here while the game itself is set to be released later this year on PC. A teaser trailer as well as a number of screenshots can also be found below.
