ANNO 1800 HITS ON NEXT GEN CONSOLES TODAY

Play Anno 1800 for Free on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S Until March 24AEDT

Sydney. Australia– March 16, 2023 – Today, Ubisoft announced that for the first time in 25 years, a mainline Anno game is launching on consoles. Players can now play Anno 1800 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On this occasion, all players can enjoy an entire free week* of the game on all platforms, PC and consoles, from March 17th until March 24th AEDT.

Developed by Ubisoft Mainz, Anno 1800 is a city-building and strategy game, that gives players the opportunity to show off their leadership skills: build gigantic metropolises, set up efficient and profitable logistical networks, colonise an exotic new continent, charter expeditions to the four corners of the globe, and dominate their opponents diplomatically, commercially, or militarily. The Anno 1800 Console Edition will offer players the full and most up to date Anno experience with a completely redesigned User interface and controls, powered by the next generation of consoles.

During the Free Week, starting March 17th and running until March 23rd on Ubisoft Connect, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, players will have access to the full main content and their progression will carry over if they decide to purchase the game**.

The Standard version of Anno 1800 Console Edition includes the base game and the biggest game updates and is available for $59.95 AUD.  The Deluxe version includes standard edition content plus three cosmetic packs*** and is costs $79.95 AUD.  Early adopters**** purchasing the Console Edition of the game can enjoy the Imperial and the Console Founder packs, containing extra cosmetic bonuses, along with the digital artbook and soundtrack of the game. In addition, nine cosmetic packs are available from $7.55 AUD.

Anno 1800 fans who played the game previously on PC and will play on console as well during the Free Week can receive nine ornaments from the PC version as a gift*****. 

Finally, the second official soundtrack of Anno 1800, named Post Launch Compilation part two, will be available on all streaming platforms on March 31st, on the 25th birthday of the Anno brand.

*The Free Week will happen from March 17, 3am AEDT to March 24, 7pm AEDT on PC on Ubisoft Connect, the Epic Games Store. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series the Free Week will start at March 17, 4am AEDT and ends on March 24, 7pm AEDT. The Free Week won’t be available on Steam.

**Any progression made during the Free Week will carry over when players upgrade to the full game, on any platform of their choice thanks to our cross-platform cloud save system. An online connection might be required to start the game as a free player along with a subscription.

*** The Pedestrian Zone, the Amusements Pack and the Vibrant Cities Pack.
