To celebrate this milestone on the games platform World of Warships will offer an opportunity to receive $5 USD Steam Wallet credit just by playing the game! In addition, World of Warships is giving away two free DLC packs, hosting a marathon to win a permanent camouflage designed by a member of the community, and has created Steam-themed cosmetics to be unlocked through missions.
$5 USD Bounty Challenge Aboard
World of Warships will be giving away $5 USD Steam Wallet credit to new World of Warships players! To unlock this credit, players will need to earn the “Warrior” achievement in-game between November 18 and December 17, which requires winning 50 random battles to unlock this achievement in the game client. Following the conclusion of the bounty challenge on December 17, players who have successfully unlocked the Warrior achievement will see the Steam Wallet credit added to their account within one week.
DLC, all for free!
Warships has two free DLC packs up for grabs valued at $30 USD, with the Dreadnought Starter Pack and the new Steam Anniversary Party Kit. Perfect for new players, the Dreadnought Starter Pack is packed with two Tier III Premium ships, one battleship and one cruiser, as well as three days of a Warships Premium Account, two Port slots, seven Steam camouflages and a boatload of economic bonuses.
The Steam Anniversary Party Kit features a Steam container, five Steam camouflages, a special “Piece of Cake” patch, and access to a special mission that allows players to earn the Steam flag and 5 additional Steam camouflages.
Complete the Camouflage Marathon
The winning design from the June Steam-themed battleship camouflage competition was selected and will be available through a special mission marathon! Created by Jav9th for the battleship King George V, the design can be unlocked alongside several other camouflages, credits, economic bonuses, and a Super Container across the marathon’s seven stages. Missions can be completed through a diverse range of methods including Brawl, Operations and Ranked, with ships and Superships ranging from Tier V-X.
Full steam ahead for the Steam patch mission chain
With all of this, Warships still has a few extra treats to celebrate five years on Steam! Players can also unlock another Steam container and several camouflages through a three-part mission chain before accessing a special Steam Patch and background cosmetics as the final reward.
Feel the thrill of the hunt!
In addition to the Steam anniversary, World of Warships is announcing another first — The World of Warships Treasure Hunt. This exclusive new event for Captains in the United States and Canada begins November 15 and offers an incredible pool of physical prizes as well as in-game gifts. The Treasure Hunt takes place in two parts:
- The Hunt. For a full four weeks, players complete daily and weekly tasks to earn Treasure Tokens. These can be exchanged at any time for random rewards from a valuable prize pool.
- The Supergame. After the Hunt ends, we’ll host a massive random giveaway on Twitch where participants with at least 6 Treasure Tokens will have a shot at winning amazing physical gear.
