NETMARBLE ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH KLAYTN

LOS ANGELES – Mar. 22, 2022 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Klaytn Foundation, the non-profit organization that was established to accelerate global adoption and ecosystem maturity on Klaytn.

As part of the strategic partnership, Netmarble launched a proprietary blockchain ecosystem ‘MBX’ and recently began servicing the ‘MARBLEX Wallet,’ which utilizes a Klaytn mainnet-based blockchain ecosystem. The ecosystem is focused on elevating the excitement of Netmarble games by incorporating blockchain technology.

This venture will allow Netmarble to advance its games’ key narratives through blockchain technology incorporation that encourages organic engagement from players and rewards them for their participation.

On the partnership, Sam Seo, Director of Klaytn Foundation says, “Klaytn plans to be the bridge that connects Web2 game companies onto the Web3 arena, and this will allow us to accelerate the expansion of our gaming universe with key strategic partners like Netmarble.”

“This strategic partnership with the Klaytn ecosystem, powered by decentralized applications, will create positive synergy,” said Kwon Young-sik, CEO of Netmarble. “We look forward to achieving our goal in advancing Netmarble’s blockchain ecosystem overall.”

Netmarble continues to raise its competitiveness within the industry by leveraging the ecosystem for various games. ‘A3: Still Alive (Global)’, ‘Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds (Global)’, ‘Monster Arena’, and ‘Everybody’s Marble: Meta World’ will be adding the proprietary blockchain ecosystem progressively.
