LOS ANGELES — 29 November, 2021 — Stack Up, the nonprofit charity supporting veterans and active duty service members through the love of games, announces that it set a new record of more than $955,000 raised in 2021, and aims to reach their goal of raising $1,000,000 in a calendar year this Giving Tuesday with appearances at multiple upcoming events in December.
Stack Up hosted a remote Call To Arms LIVE event over Veterans Day weekend headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, where supporters with the help of content creators streaming for Stack Up raised more than $70,000 in one weekend, exceeding the $60,000 target. These contributions helped push Stack Up reach $955,083 on the year, breaking the 2020 record of $942,038. Stack Up now aims to reach a brand new milestone of $1,000,000, and sends out a call to allies and supporters around the world to help achieve this new goal.
Stack Up will have a presence at multiple upcoming events to help get the word out, offer merch for those who contribute to the cause, and provide info on volunteer opportunities. Stack Up deploys to C2E2 in Chicago Friday, 10 Dec. to Sunday, 12 Dec. at booth #456.
Stack Up supports active duty and recuperating service members in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and NATO allies through multiple methods. Supply Crates, video game care packages, help deployed service members make it through their deployment or when recovering back home with the therapeutic benefits of gaming.
Air Assault trips are all expenses paid for trips for veterans to attend geek culture and video game events. The trips connect people who have similar interests, create long lasting memories and friendships, and let those who attend know that they are not alone. Finally, the Stack Up Overwatch Program offers 24/7/365 access to a team of trained crisis management volunteers for those who suffer from PTSD, depression, and emotional distress.
