Available for download today, the SCARLET NEXUSTM free play STEAM® demo offers players the opportunity to try out the critically acclaimed Action RPG on their PCs. Players will have the option to experience the routes of the two protagonists as they use their special psychokinesis powers to fight off deranged mutants, known as the Others, who are hellbent on devouring humanity one brain at a time.
Based in the far distant future, humanity has entered a new era where a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain which grants extra sensory powers. Brain devouring Mutants have mysteriously descended from the sky and it’s up to the Other Suppression Force to defend humanity from certain extinction.
In the demo, players can take control of close combat expert Yuito Sumeragi and ranged specialist Kasane Randall. Each character has their own unique attack style and both players will be able to borrow the powers of their OSF allied team members to unleash devastating psychokinesis attacks against the mutant Others.
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has also unveiled DLC Pack 1 today, which includes:
- Bond Level Extension – A newly unlocked bond level (EX) which features new SAS power extensions, new bond episodes, and will reveal new aspects of your allies that was not available in the main story.
- Additional Costumes and Weapons. – Set of newly designed costumes and weapons for all protagonists and party members to fight in style.
