The King of Fighters XV Pushed to Q1 2022

COVID-19 cases hinder development.

News Fighting SNK

SNK has announced that they will no longer be releasing The King of Fighters XV in 2021 and are now hoping to release the game sometime in Q1 2022 in an effort to prioritize the game’s quality while keeping staff healthy. This news has been something that many have expected primarily for a bit now as the company has yet to announce what platforms players can even expect to see the fighter released on.

The delay announcement was accompanied by a message from SNK producer Yasuyuki Oda stating that the development timeline that the team set out to reach in the beginning “has been affected by the ever-still rising cases of COVID-19 within Japan. We have made the ultimate decision in the end that the product’s quality must come first, and so with that decision comes an altered release window.”

After playing games since a young age and getting into anime a bit later on its been time to write about a little bit of everything.
