InnoGames, Germany’s leading developer and publisher of online and mobile games, announces that the global strategy hit Forge of Empires is now available on Microsoft Store. Microsoft Store is the primary distribution platform for apps that can be used across all Microsoft Windows 10 compatible devices, reaching over 1 billion monthly active devices worldwide. This will allow even more users to play the successful strategy game with a focus in Europe and the United States.
Microsoft is supporting the launch with an additional promotion. The Microsoft Store will prominently feature Forge of Empires over the next several months in coordination with seasonal in-game events. Users will not only be able to see the game highlighted on the home page, but also on the game page, in the newsletter and as a special integration in the start menu when clicking on the Windows button, among other features.

Forge of Empires is available in over 20 languages, which together also make up the majority of Microsoft Store traffic. While the focus is in Europe and the United States, the partnership has presented new geographies, including Latin America and Asia. Additionally, small preliminary tests were conducted in the Nordics in preparation for this launch.
InnoGames’ team prepared Forge of Empires for the launch by creating a Microsoft-native application. This was done by wrapping existing workflows and processes, which enabled a quick turnaround and supports easier adaptation in the future.
Forge of Empires is free to play and available on the Microsoft Store as well as for browser and mobile for Android and iOS.
