Free on Epic Games Store, 3 out of 10 Aims to Impress with Episode 4 Out Today

All Season One Episodes Free for Playable Sitcom

BOSTON, MA — 27 August, 2020 — 3 out of 10, the episodic playable sitcom about life at the world’s worst game development studio, invests in itself today with Episode 4 – “Thank You For Being an Asset To Our Company,” exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PC. Every Thursday through 3 September, new episodes of Season One release for free.

Big-shot investors will descend on Shovelworks Studios in just 24 hours! Tasked with a complete office makeover to impress the fat cats, Francine stumbles across an actual, real-life Random Assets and Provisions store. Wall-to-wall textures, grab-and-go environmental clutter, ready-made mannequins just begging to be used… It’s enough to drive a rushed developer mad with power, and Francine is madder than most.

Do asset stores offer too many choices for one person to wield? Can Midge, Joan, Viper, and the gang stop Francine’s reign of terror? Why would anyone think kerosene is a good construction material for cheap goods?

New mini-games for Episode 4 celebrate the ridiculous world and rich history of gaming. Unload Francine’s moving truck of pre-made junk new office decor with a puzzling brain teaser. Finally explore the mystery of the Lead Engineer in a sinister first-person sneaker. Brawl your way to victory against off-the-shelf game developer replacement employees.

Today’s release marks the penultimate episode of Season One and things are heating up (no, seriously, someone gives Viper a flamethrower this week). Equal parts video game and animated show, 3 out of 10 celebrates the games and industry we love and a diverse, eccentric cast whose personalities are in no way “artistically liberated” from real people.

“In no way, shape, or form is the cast of 3 out of 10 representative of actual game developers we may or may not know,” said Joe Mirabello, creative director for Terrible Posture Games. “We would never suggest engineers dwell in darkness and character artists have an unhealthy obsession with weaponry. Anyway, please enjoy the latest episode of 3 out of 10!

Season One episodes will be released weekly for free on the Epic Games Store, culminating in the season finale on 3 September. For more hypothetical reflections on game development, hang with Terrible Posture Games on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, and the official website.
