The game is available for pre-order now for AUD$69.95/NZD$79.95 for the Standard Edition and AUD$79.95/NZD$89.95 for the Deluxe Edition.
The game is being developed by Saber Interactive, who previously developed the arcade-style NBA game NBA 2K Playgrounds. WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be designed to be easy to learn with a high skill ceiling.
WWE 2K Battlegrounds will feature four modes set across eight environments. Over 70 WWE Superstars and Legends will be available at launch with more being released after the launch. Exhibition and Online mode will provide quick gamed for up to four players. King of the Battlegrounds is an intense free for all for eight players where four players will battle it out and the survivor will take on the four players waiting in the wings. The campaign will offer a full blown story where players will battle their way up to a WWE contract.
