NieR Replicant Being Remastered for Modern Systems

Square Enix has announced two major pieces of news for the NieR franchise. First, a modern remaster of NieR Replicant is currently in development. Square Enix is being guarded in details, but the remastered is officially called NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… and will be released in Japan and the West for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows via Steam.

Several familiar faces from the Nier: Automata development team have been tapped for the remaster. Director Yoko Taro is taking the lead on the project, while composer Keiichi Okabae and producer Yosuke Saito will also be working on the game.

Some extra news for Xbox owners. Xbox Games Pass subscribers who are looking to catch up with Nier: Automata will be able to play the game starting on April 2nd.
