SHIO – COCONUT ISLAND GAMES’ FAST-PACED, LANTERN-HOPPING PLATFORMER – IS OUT NOW ON NINTENDO SWITCH™

SHANGHAI Aug. 23, 2018 – Coconut Island Games has released Shio, the fast-paced action platformer from developer Coconut Island Studio, on Nintendo Switch™ via the Nintendo eShop for $12.99.

Shio’s special twist on classic side-scrolling design is all about lanterns. More than just colorful decoration, these floating lights let you chain jumps in mid-air in gravity-defying combinations, extending your range to let you explore the farthest reaches of the world and master intense tests of skill and reflexes.

The only enemy in Shio is the environment, and it’s more than enough to deliver a serious platforming challenge. Throughout the four chapters of your adventure, you’ll encounter new lands that introduce their own unique themes, weather patterns and obstacles to overcome, including fierce winds, raging fire and heavy fog. There’s also a number of hidden rooms to discover that will help shed light on the sad tale of Shio’s mysterious masked man.

Shio is also available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC and Mac via Steam. This game is rated E (Everyone) by the ESRB. For more information, visit https://coconutisland.games, and follow Coconut Island on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
