MAPLESTORY BLITZ DELIVERS GRAND BATTLE UPDATE WITH NEW GAME MODE, EVENTS
Maple World Popular Mobile Trading Card Game Receives Combative New Combat Content
Seoul – April 6, 2018 – The epic gameplay of MapleStory Blitz continues to challenge players, both novice and veteran, with the Grand Battle Update, including an all-new player vs. player (PvP) game mode, Grand Battle celebration event, and more. MapleStory Blitz is the premier competitive trading card game (TCG) rebirth of the classic MapleStory roleplaying game (RPG) from NEXON Korea Corporation, subsidiary of NEXON Co., Ltd. (“Nexon”) (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online and mobile games. The Grand Battle update goes live today through Wednesday, April 25 for iPhone and Android.
MapleStory Blitz allows players to battle in real-time across three action-packed lanes with “cardified” Maple World monsters and skills. The Grand Battle mode enhances the intensity of PvP combat with a new set of rules unlike anything else in competitive trading card games, including:
- “Spear Meets Shield” – Game mode where players are given a special Grand Battle deck to engage powerful opponents;
- New Attacks – Ephenia now damages the enemy Tower whenever she is summoned, but “Water Shield” prevents damage. Players must master both to win;
- Additional Planned Combat Modes – Other Grand Battle modes with challenging new rules are planned for future release following “Spear Meets Shield.”
Players also are invited to participate in the MapleStory Blitz Grand Battle Celebration Event for the duration of the content update. Prizes include:
- Grand Battle Box – Awarded for winning five times in Grand Battle;
- Grand Battle Portrait – Awarded for winning 20 times in Grand Battle.
