Train Sim World Launching Early 2017 With Beta Coming This December
CHATHAM, Kent – Dec. 2, 2016 – Dovetail Games, the multi award-winning developer and publisher of a range of simulation games, would like to invite simulation fans to join the beta for its brand-new upcoming train simulation, Train Sim World. Starting on Dec. 8, 2016, the beta will run until Dec. 19, 2016 and is open to anyone who purchases Train Simulator 2017: Pioneers Edition.
Train Sim World is built upon the foundation of Unreal Engine 4® technology and is thereby set to deliver the most technologically advanced train simulation experience on the market. The first iteration in the new series, Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul, which is due to launch in February 2017, will feature the stunning Sand Patch Grade route, stretching 60 miles across the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania and Maryland in the USA. Players joining the beta will be able to access two key sections of this route: Cumberland Yard and Sand Patch Summit, giving them a taste of busy yard life and also allowing them to test their skills on a section of the route which offers a variety of challenging gradient changes.
Featuring fully customizable weather systems (a taste of which will be available in the beta), Train Sim World will offer more immersion, realism and authenticity than has ever been seen before in a train simulation. The beta will also introduce first-person mode, allowing players to walk around and explore the world, as well as interact with the trains. The CSX SD40-2 locomotive, included in the beta, allows full interactivity in the cab, so you can gain a complete understanding of how the train works and how it feels to be sitting in the driver’s seat with the controls in your hands.

Train Simulator 2017: Pioneers Edition, which grants access to the Train Sim World beta, is available from Steam at a special bundle price of $45.00 and will be on sale until Dec. 7, 2016.
