The latest entry into the Ghost in the Shell anime series, Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie, will be screened at the Japanese Film Festival in Sydney and Melbourne next month. Tickets can be purchased from the links found on the official Japanese Film Festival webpage here.

The official webpage provided a brief description of the film: “Set after the events of Ghost in the Shell: Arise, the Prime Minister is assassinated in what is publicly described as the “greatest event since the war”. It is up to Public Security Section 9, lead by Major Motoko Kusanagi, to discover the true nature of the murder”.

The cosplay-themed screening in Sydney will be on November 9, 2015 at 8:15pm at Event Cinemas George St, Sydney. The special cyberpunk-themed event will begin at 6:30pm. Prizes will be given out for the best cosplayer of characters from the series. These prizes will include film passes and Kinokuniya gift vouchers. Guest cosplayers will help to determine who is the best cosplayer.
