UK Premiere of Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions in London

A Musical and Visual Celebration of Pokémon

The Pokémon Company International and U-Live announced today that Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, the official live event celebrating the world-renowned video game series, will receive its UK Premiere on Sunday, 20 December, at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, following sold-out performances across North America. With Susie Benchasil Seiter conducting the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in London, Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions combines a full orchestra and large-screen video projections to bring to life newly expanded musical themes and visual material directly inspired by the game.

Based on the game themes composed by Junichi Masuda, and produced by Princeton Entertainment, Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions features music composed by Chad Seiter and animation conceptualized and directed by Jeron Moore. Performances of Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions create an opportunity for fans of all ages to meet up with friends to catch, battle, and trade Pokémon from their favourite games. There will also be an opportunity to meet Susie, Chad, and Jeron during the after-show poster signing.

All-new orchestral arrangements and carefully timed visuals draw from Pokémon video games spanning all six generations, including:

·         Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue
·         Pokémon Yellow
·         Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver
·         Pokémon Crystal
·         Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire
·         Pokémon Emerald
·         Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl
·         Pokémon Platinum
·         Pokémon Black  and  Pokémon White
·         Pokémon X  and Pokémon Y

Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is a spectacular showcase of the memorable music that has been a hallmark of the video games for nearly 20 years,” said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “The concert is a thank-you to fans and an invitation to share our passion for Pokémon by reliving some of our fondest memories of Pokémon. We look forward to seeing fans of all ages enjoying this very special orchestral event together.”
