It has been a tad over 12 months since Sony released the PlayStation 4 onto the market, and to say it has been a great year for the console would be an understatement. Over the past year, Sony have sold an incredible 18.4 million units. Not only that but 4.1 million of those consoles were sold over the recent holiday period. In addition to the truckloads of PS4 consoles having been sold, Sony have also announced that 10.9 million players have taken advantage of the PlayStation Plus service.
With sales numbers like those, it is easy to see why Sony Computer Entertainment have been quite happy this holiday season, and with a slew of new games coming out for the console like Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and Street Fighter V it is a pretty safe bet that the good times will roll on.
