In a nod to iOS’ fast growing gaming market, SteelSeries has released the first full featured wireless controller that is compatible with all iOS 7 devices and games supporting iOS 7 controllers, like Asphalt 8: Airborne. The SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller connects to iOS 7 devices via Bluetooth and lasts for 10 hours of gaming. The internal battery is recharged via USB. The controller features a D-pad, four face buttons, and four shoulder buttons that are all pressure sensitive. The Stratus also features two analog sticks. Each iOS device can support up to four controllers at once. Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO said:

“The Stratus Wireless Controller, the first wireless gamepad controller ever to be supported in iOS 7, forever alters the mobile gaming landscape. With Stratus, gamers have easy and direct access to a growing roster of great games on iPad that were intended for an immersive, controller-enabled experience. We’re incredibly excited to be the first gaming peripherals company to develop a standalone controller for iOS devices and are thrilled to see an abundance of high quality game titles rolling out from publishers everyday.”

The SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller is available for pre-order at the SteelSeries webshop for $99.99 USD/€99.99.
