New Mode for Western Version of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle

Namco Bandai has announced that it will be manufacturing a limited run of physical copies for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. These copies will be sold exclusively at Amazon.com and ClubNamco.com within the United States, exclusively on the PlayStation 3. In addition to the online retail edition, the game will be also be available for digital purchase on the PlayStation Network.

Developed by CyberConnect2, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle, attempts to bring the stylish insanity of the manga and anime to gamers. Players will be able to choose from a huge cast of characters, spanning from Phantom Blood all the way to JoJolion. Each of these characters comes with their own signature moves, wnjoyable through a number of dynamic camera angles. Make sure to strike some vicotry poses.

The Western release of the game will feature a brand new mode not seen in the original Japanese release. The new Arcade Mode lets players fight through eight AI controlled opponents through a series of battles. On rare occasions, the Arcade Mode icon will switch to Harvest when connected online allowing players to earn more gold when they complete matches. A few balance changes applied to the game post-launch in Japan will also be included, to keep everything fair.

Having already released on August 29th in Japan (with a 40/40 score in Famitsu), Western fans will have to wait a little longer for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle, with a release planned sometime in 2014.
