With the upcoming fall season just around the corner, Aniplex have recently announced one of the series they will be streaming is the anime original Samurai Flamenco.
The series is directed by Takahiro Omori (Durarara!! & Natsume’s Book of Friends) and revolves around two main characters; Masayoshi Hazama, who has a strong sense of justice and Hidenori Goto who isn’t as determined despite his occupation.
Hazama is a male model who becomes the super hero Samurai Flamenco using one of his grandfather’s inventions, similar to Kick Ass he has no real super powers but still wants to fight crime. Goto is a hard working police officer who discovers Masayoshi is the man behind the suit, resulting in more trouble causing scenarios than he wished for.
A synopsis provided by Aniplex describes the series as:
“the birth of a true hero featuring these two young men with a touch of comedy and serious drama, while they come face to face with hardships as they search for the true meaning of becoming a hero of justice in this world!”
