Today a new trailer, which can be seen below, was released for the A Certain Magical Index movie that is currently being produced in Japan. The title of the movie is currently A Certain Magical Index: The Miracle of Endymion (Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki) and it will hit Japanese theaters on February 23rd next year.
The story of the movie continues to follow Index and Touma as they meet a new character, a Level 0 girl named Nago Arisa the day before Academy City’s space elevator is completed. While the three share a lunch together, Stiyl suddenly attacks the group with the hope of killing Arisa. As Touma and Index are surprised by Stiyl’s sudden attack, he tells them that Arisa may start a war between the magic and science communities. As you can see in the video, many of the series’ characters will be appearing including a number of new magicians.
It is worth noting that FUNimation has licensed the first season of A Certain Magical Index’s anime as well as the first season of spin-off anime A Certain Scientific Railgun, though no plans have been made for this movie or the second anime season of Index as of yet.
