THQ cancels inSane

Back in 2010 when THQ announced that they would be teaming up with Guillermo del Toro for a game called inSane that would be released in 2013, many people thought that the game’s title was quite fitting since the idea itself was absolutely insane. This became even more ludicrous when it was revealed that THQ and del Toro were planning on creating a trilogy on the franchise.

Well it turns out that THQ’s recent financial woe’s have made them keep a closer eye on their money and as such, they revealed during their fiscal 2013 first quarter financials call today that they were cancelling any production on inSane. Nothing was ever actually revealed about the game by the company, so at this point it is simply a failed dream that never got off the ground. Still… we may see this title sometime in the future from another publisher since part of the cancellation included returning the rights for the game back to Guillermo del Toro.
