The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut announced for PS3

If you think that The House of the Dead needs to be on a system other than the Wii then you should find the following news quite pleasing. Sega announced today that they will be moving The House of the Dead: Overkill onto the PlayStation 3 and it will be compatible with the PlayStation Move. It will also receive a major graphic enhancement and 3D support if you have a TV capable of doing that. The new name of the title will be The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut.

The House of the Dead: Overkill was originally released for the Wii and was very over the top in its violence and language, much to the delight of its fans. With the move to the PS3 there will also be two new scenarios added into the game’s seven stages. These scenarios are exclusive for the PlayStation 3. Exactly what these two scenarios will entail has yet to be seen, but we’ll know when the title is released on October 25th in North America and on October 28th in Europe.
