Just like all of the announcements today, the news that Battlefield 4 will come to the Xbox One is not totally a surprise, but should be noted by all those keeping up with the hefty amount of news for the new platform. Of course this means that the game will be hitting both the Xbox One and Playstation 4, making it one of the first titles to go multi-platform next-gen.
Along with this news also comes confirmation that the Frostbite 3 engine will also accompany this release, so it will be interesting to see how this console can handle the heavy footwork fresh out the gate. Battlefield 4 launches this fall for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC, with the next-gen platforms’ release date still pending.
