The wait may have been long and your in-game Skyrim wives may have been growing depressed at your small house but your wait is finally at an end. Today Bethesda has released the Hearthfire DLC for the PlayStation 3 version of Skyrim. For the first week of the DLC’s launch gamers can purchase it at 50% off the normal price, placing it at only $2.49.
The Hearthfire DLC adds in the ability for players to buy a few plots of land and build pre-designed houses on that land. Players can do everything from create a simple cottage to an expansive compound that is outfitted with rooms to match their playstyle. Those who are curious about the DLC’s quality can find our review for the Xbox 360 version here. It is worth noting that the French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions of the DLC have not yet been released but all three add-ons, Hearthfire, Dragonborn and Dawnguard will be available in those territories and languages on February 27th.
