Settle down with Skyrim’s Hearthfire DLC

If you thought that the only thing missing from Skyrim was a home you could actually build, furnish and populate on your own, well then you’ll be happy to hear that the next piece of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC will offer you just that. The newly announced “Hearthfire” downloadable content will allow players to purchase a plot of land where they can build their very own home from the ground up.

Players can create anything from a simple cottage to a small mansion complete with an armory, laboratory and even a fish hatchery if you feel like it. Players will be able to customize their house, fight away unwanted visitors and even build a family by moving in with your wife and adopting children. The Hearthfire pack will be available next week on September 4th for only 400 MSP ($5) while PS3 and PC gamers will likely have to wait around a month to play it. Until then, you can check out the DLC’s debut trailer below.
