Semi-finalists of Pong Developer Challenge Announced

Between March 28th and April 15th, 87 developers submitted a game design idea to Atari for their Pong Indie Developer Challenge.  Now Atari has announced the 20 semi-finalists that get to turn their idea into a demo and video for Atari to work through, watch, and judge.  From the remaining 20 semi-finalists, Atari will whittle it down to 10 finalists to actually finish their game for publishing.

Semi-finalists have until now until June 5th to submit their playable demo and video, so that they have a chance to keep working towards the grand prize of $50,000.  But, as long as they can become a finalist they are guaranteed $5,000 prize for their work.  The finalists will be announced June 19th, so be sure to check back and see who made the cut.  Those interested in who these semi-finalists are can find the list on Atari’s Pong Indie Developer Challenge page HERE.
