Playstation Network is back up

Sony Playstation 3 News

If you had been waiting on Sony to restore PSN services, you’ll be happy to know that the Playstation Network is now working again. The Playstation Twitter account tweeted out the following about 6 hours ago: “PSN update: If you encountered issues logging in today, try logging in now. Apologies for the inconvenience!” No reason for the outage was mentioned. Sony’s most recent firmware update to the system promised to improve network stability. Hopefully this outage will be the last for awhile.

So, what is the first game you’ll be hitting now that service has been restored?

Hmmm, I wonder if they are ever going to reveal what happened. It could have just been a glitch with the new update or something. I hope that’s all it was.

I’m glad all those PS3 owners didn’t have to go through another long outage. I guess I’m sort of glad for Sony as well, I think that would have damaged the company beyond repair. I’d like them to stay afloat, good competition creates better systems and games for everyone, no matter what console you prefer.
