Duke Nukem Forever has a Halo reference; Steve Gibson explains development

Playstation 3 Videos Xbox 360 PC News Action FPS 2K

Nope you aren’t seeing things. Duke Nukem Forever has a Halo reference in it. Of course you can’t wear the iconic armor because Duke has a few choice words to say about walking around in a suit of armor the whole time. Lets just say that he thinks that anyone who wears it is some part of the anatomy of a woman.

Besides that fact however we also have a new video from Steve Gibson where he talks about what has happened over the years with Duke Nukem Forever and explains that nearly all of the original developers are working with GearBox and have their minds set on finishing Duke Nukem Forever. Catch the video below and see some new gameplay bits too, including a “back massager.”

nice lil inclusion there. Like it when games etc make references to other series. iron man 2 captain american shield is the last one i an think of?

Wow, I wonder if the insult was malicious or just a joke between the two parties. Similar to the campaign dialogue in BF:Bad Company 2 where they ever so vaguely insult Call of Duty.

I don’t think it’s a direct insult, surely they have to get clearence to use the halo stuff. duke’s always had the same attitude to people who wear body armor.
