Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, is it worth $15?

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is dated for release this summer for XBLA, PSN, and PC. At a $15 price tag and incredible graphics the game seems promising. It will follow Lara Croft and her return to a crumbling underworld and its hostile caretakers.

According to developer Crystal Dynamics, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will offer approximately six hours of two-player co-operative action and puzzle-solving (though your pace may vary).

The game does sound very interesting but when I read that it only offered 6 hours of game play it came as a disappointment. When did 6 hours of game play constitute a $15 price tag?

Well, if those 6 hours are good and consistent i have no objection. The arcade style and the inclusion of coop adds replay too. I think this can be a really cool take on the series.

I hope they release a trailer soon.

I agree. I don’t think 6 hrs gameplay is worth $15 maybe $10 would be better.

the 6 hour story doesn’t really bother me because most xbl arcade games have much worse but i think it is a bit pricey but maybe it will be one of the better games they will release but then again i dont think anything could be a bigger rip off than fret nice lol

Millions of people happily pay $60 for games like God of War III, which is, what, about a dozen hours long for most people? At that rate, Guardian of Light should be about TWICE the gameplay-hours-per-dollar value of GoW3.

Looks like a pretty good deal, but nothing will compare with Tomb Raider 3.

I have to agree if Cedge. Fifteen dollars is pretty good for a 6 hour game by todays standards. I’m pretty glad they’re doing this rather than making a 10 hour game cost sixty dollars.

    Interesting…

I had heard of this game, but not realized it was XBLA. $15 is definitely a must think about first thing when talking about horribly DRM’d XBLA, but if the experience is quality, then a buy could be a possibility.

Co-op is definitely a big plus, because my son and I love to play together.

Hmm, might be cool. I would go with $10 on this on though, too
