The religious cult known as the Bahnsen Knights reigns terror on the highways as biblical storms rain havoc on the population. Their leader, a former car salesman named Toni, preaches hell is not below us, but above, as he leads the Ford Sierra-driving cultists across the country, performing “route exorcisms” along the way. 

Infiltrate this cult as Boulder, an undercover agent attempting to dismantle them from within while hunting the whereabouts of his missing partner, Cupra. Establish trust with cult members to navigate hostile waters without arousing suspicion. Reveal their intentions as a cryptic collective and undermine their achievements via minigames, puzzles, and choice-based, branching storylines that can lead Boulder to the solution…and a number of grisly demises.

Bahnsen Knights serves as a standalone story in the Pixel Pulps anthology, a series of interactive fiction tales inspired by early 20th century pulp fiction with its over-the-top tales, and art paying homage to 1980s home computer graphics. SCUM unleashes The Horde, featuring an all-new tutorial system and the return of a fan-favourite vehicle 

Game-changing update features improved tutorials, new weapons and new attachments 

Cambridge, UK – 14 December 2023. Jagex and Gamepires today launched The Horde for multiplayer survival game SCUM. This update brings with it an improved tutorial system for new and returning players, new weapons and attachments, as well as a rework of the crafting system and the return of the fan favourite pickup truck. 

SCUM’s 0.95 update, The Horde, welcomes new players and introduces the Survival Codex, a new in-game database containing all the essential information a player will need to survive and thrive in the world of SCUM, from movement controls and survival skills, to base building and attributes. Alongside this, the update adds new Survival Tips, which will pop up periodically during gameplay to offer helpful information, based on the player’s current situation. Crafting has also been reworked to allow for a better user experience. 

The update brings with it an overhaul of the enemy spawning system, introducing new threat zones: low, medium, and high. High value loot can be found in High Threat Zones, along with more dangerous enemies, so players will have to weigh up the risk and reward when tackling these new threats. 

Players will be better equipped than ever following today’s update, with new weapons, and vehicles available. Long-term players will be delighted to see the popular Pickup truck, which is making its return in The Horde. Players can also heat things up with the new Improvised Flamethrower or hit hard with the modern SCAR-L. Those looking for a stealthier option will enjoy the new .45 ACP Suppressor for firearms using .45 ACP ammunition and the PU Scope adds range to the Mosin rifle. 

Last but not least, this update also brings performance optimizations and the implementation of the latest Nvidia DLSS version alongside Nvidia frame generation for the Nvidia 4xxx series.  

Also launching today are the Male Hair Deluxe DLC and the Dance Pack DLC. Whether players want to show off their moves on the dance floor or take a trip to the barber to get a new look, these two new DLCs have you covered. Each DLC is available on Steam today for $6.99/£5.89/€6.89.

Cookie Cutter is set against the backdrop of the Megastructure, a huge, dystopian planet ruled by INFONET, a mega-corporation led by the deranged Garbanzos family. Over the course of 200 years, the corp has drilled into the Megastructure in pursuit of a fraction of its energy source called the Red Seed, which is used to further power its precious Golden City.

The romance doesn’t last long. After the current INFONET leader, Salem Garbanzos, accuses Shinji of stealing the Red Seed, he kidnaps the engineer and orders his literal Dickhead minions to clobber Cherry to pieces.

Some time later, a renegade scientist and mechanic named Raz discovers what’s left of Cherry and revives her. The android sets out to enact her sweet, blood-soaked revenge. It’s a Christmas tale for the ages!

The objective is to deploy a ‘Syphon’ at specific sites on the map during an attack or deactivate it within 30 seconds using ‘The Defuser’ during defense. If the defenders eliminate all attackers and prevent deployment of the Syphon or defuse a deployed Syphon, they win the round.  Attackers win if the Syphon detonates. One session of X8’s gameplay consists of 14 rounds, first to 8 or drawing at 7/7 (subject to change).

Starting now, Maplers face even greater challenges with war on the Battleship Arteria and more:

• New Area: Battleship Arteria – Reina the new apostle of Darmoor carries the power of a god with a special crystal. High aboard the sinister warship, she prepares to invade MapleWorld with the high flora army. Continue MapleStory’s epic tale in a new zone for high-level Maplers as you board the Arteria and take the battle to the sky.  Maplers can obtain “Sacred Symbol: Arteria” by completing all the quests in the Arteria area with a Lv. 280+ character.
• Face new difficulties for Kaling and Kalos the Guardian – Challenge two of MapleStory’s hardest bosses on a brand new “Extreme” difficulty mode and claim new rewards including the Helmet of Loyalty and the Mark of Destruction.  
• Tisk Food Storehouse Event – The sumptuous, limited-time Winter Peak season event continues with all new quests! Help the islanders protect their Food Storehouse from various monsters and gain EXP as rewards! 
• Home Maplemas – The holidays have arrived in Querencia! Deck out your house with the holiday spirit of the season through this limited-time event. Don’t forget to gather dozens of new furnishings and house expansions and enjoy the festive spirit from the cozy safety of your Maple Home.  

On December 19, the update continues with:

• Abyssal Expedition – Strange and unfathomable deep fissures have appeared in the Minar region within Maple World. Gather a team of brave warriors and explorers and obtain powerful equipment and skills for your exploration. Strategize the best way to navigate treacherous paths into the mysterious abyss during this limited-time event to gain exclusive rewards, items, and more. 
• Identisk Island Event – The efforts of the islanders from Iden Island and Tisk Island to restore the faded divine blessing over the land continues in a renewed way. Collect ingredients with Tisk’s little Toby for a special coconut juice that is said to make you grow taller when you drink it and gain a lot of experience!
• Maplemas – Help Rudi celebrate the holidays by decorating Christmas trees in snowy versions of Henesys, Leafre and Nameless Town which are all ready for the holidays! Hunt monsters within your level range to collect 100 Small Ball Decorations and deliver them to Rudy who will give you a special reward!

On January 9, an all-new area is introduced:

• New Area: Carcion, Cradle of Life – The forces of Darmoor are after the slumbering ancient god’s power within Carcion, the Cradle of Life. With the help of the Maple Alliance, help the denizens of this region uncover a sinister plot, reconcile their ideals, and stop the apostle of Darmoor from expanding his influence over Grandis. Maplers can obtain “Sacred Symbol: Carcion” by completing all the quests in the Carcion area with a Lv. 285+ character.
