A revolution that will shatter the foundations of society

Madrid, Spain – 7th June 2024. Meridiem has released a new gameplay trailer for Neon Blood, in which the powerful character Ruby Emerald is introduced, and more information is teased about the narrative universe surrounding the game. Additionally, the trailer also reveals the contents of the physical “Limited Edition” release and announces a Q4 2024 launch window for this neo-noir cyberpunk title. This trailer debuted at several digital events during No-E3 2024, including the Best Indie Games Summer Showcase and the Guerrilla Collective Showcase 2024.

Neon Blood is a neo-noir cyberpunk RPG/Graphic Adventure with a 2.5D aesthetic which combines 2D pixel art sprites with 3D-modeled environments. The game features a variety of puzzles, classic turn-based combat, and precise Quick Time Events. Neon Blood is developed by ChaoticBrain Studios and published by Meridiem.

Meridiem will handle the design and manufacture of the boxed edition of Neon Blood, which will be available in specialist retail stores for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch across Europe in Q4 2024. Fans can wishlist the digital version of the game now on Steam and PlayStation, and soon on Nintendo Switch and Xbox.

The boxed Limited Edition of Neon Blood for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch includes a metallic texture cover, an art book, a printed city guide, and a downloadable soundtrack.

Story Setting

In the year 2053, after World War III, humanity has been reduced to a single macropolis, Viridis, composed of two cities: the luxurious Bright City and the dystopian Blind City.

Axel McCoin, a detective from Blind City, driven by his ideals, rebels against the injustices caused by the social separation between the two cities and the general social inequalities, becoming a symbol of a revolution.

In his adventure, Axel will encounter powerful allies who will aid him in his quest, as well as enemies who will stand in his way, such as Ruby Emerald, who will do everything possible to thwart Axel’s plans.

Magic: The Gathering’s latest set for the Modern format brings on the nostalgia with powerful reprints, iconic planeswalkers, and a callback to the Eldrazi

7 June, 2024 — Wizards of the Coast today launched pre-release events for Modern Horizons III, the latest set for the world-renowned trading card game, Magic: The Gathering (MTG). Bringing powerful new cards and reprints from Magic’s history to the Modern format, Modern Horizons III brims with collectibility and nostalgia for players to sink their teeth into. Modern Horizons III will be released for MTG Arena on June 11 and for tabletop on June 14.

The Eldrazi return

Modern Horizons III includes the retelling of the Eldrazi, a story of unfathomable horrors that follows the malevolent interdimensional Eldrazi titans and their plane-devouring pursuits. Packed with newly-imagined versions of the god-like beings, players can unleash Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek in their staggering physical forms across foil-etched or even serialised borderless concept treatments exclusive to Collector Boosters. 

Serialized Modern Horizons 3 cards are localized in English only and are available in Magic: The Gathering – Modern Horizons 3 Collector Boosters of any language. Non-serialized Modern Horizons 3 cards are mechanically identical to serialized variants. See product packaging for details.

Planewalker’s spark

Modern Horizons III also sees the return of heroic and villainous planeswalkers, from Ajani Goldmane and Ral Zarek to Grist and Sorin Markov. The new set showcases five fan-favourites in brand new double-faced cards (DFC) that depict how they became Planeswalkers.

Designed for both draft and updating the competitive Modern format, Modern Horizons III offers the chance to create strong new decks or revitalise old favourites. Fend off waves of foes with brutal efficiency as Morgan Lee, the leader of a ragtag group of resistance fighters on the prison planet Sigma. In the demo, players’ journey will begin the way many great stories do – with a prison break. Players will need to gear up for robot mayhem, action and adventure as they play through Akimbot’s first level set in Data Bay. It will allow players to get into the nuts and bolts of the game, as they traverse through the environment, join the Data Bay locals for a dance party, complete a boss battle and test out Akimbot’s unique weapon wheel.

Developed by Balio Studio, The Smurfs – Village Party offers two distinct gameplay experiences.Firstly, an adventure mode at the heart of the Smurfs’ universe, where players will travel through 10 different environments to discover an original story, created especially for the game. Secondly, a party game mode, where up to 4 players can compete locally in the 50 mini-games available.

Papa Smurf is having an extraordinary party! For this occasion, he is asking all the Smurfs to take part in the preparations to make the party unforgettable!
