Bandai Namco Europe today announces that TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: Rhythm Festival will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on 7^th November 2024. This new version will support up to 120 fps, a first on home consoles, include collaborative songs and mini characters exclusive to the new versions. In addition, a demo is also available now on P platforms. on all platforms.

TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: Rhythm Festival lets players explore Omiko City, where everyone’s favourite Taiko elements come together in one place, with Don-chan and Kumo-kyun. With several modes that will have players experience the ultimate celebration of music in the Story mode, try fun modes with up to 4 players in the Taiko Land or face other players online in the Dondoko Town. TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: Rhythm Festival features 76 songs, including “Gurenge”, “Feel Special” and “Racing into the Night”. 

The Taiko Music Pass, a paid music subscription service, also expands the game song library with more than 700 songs that can be accessed at anytime. The all-women and femmes speedrunning event also reached the incredible milestone of over $1 million lifetime donations

August 26, 2024 – Games Done Quick’s all-women and femmes summer speedrunning event Flame Fatales, which ran from August 18-25, concluded yesterday with over $118,000 raised for the non-profit Malala Fund. The week-long speedrunning marathon took place online and was broadcast on Games Done Quick’s Twitch channel.

This year, viewers watched speedruns of contemporary and older games alike, including Super Mario 64 DS, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 3, Portal, and much more. Some highlights include an intense final boss attempt in the Chrono Trigger Any% Vortex Save by Jerikandra, achieving a New Game+ world record during the Sonic & Knuckles run by SnowballSMB, and much more. Additionally, during a Bayonetta 3 run, a new milestone of lifetime donations raised for all Flame Fatales events was reached, now totaling over $1 million.
